The ambient background color is the backcolor inherited from the grid element's parent in the case where its own BackColor property is not explicitly set.
If the value of the IsBackColorAmbient property is true then both the AmbientBackColor and BackColor properties will return the same value.
If the grid element does not have an ambient parent, then the value of the DefaultBackColor property will be returned.
