AmbientTrimming Property (DataRow)

Gets the ambient value of the datarow's Trimming property.

Property Value

A System.Drawing.StringTrimming value indicating how text displayed in the DataRow will be trimmed when it exceeds the edges of the layout rectangle.

Remarks

The ambient trimming is the trimming inherited from the DataRow's parent in the case where its own Trimming property is not explicitly set.

If the value of the GridElement.IsTrimmingAmbient property is true then both the AmbientTrimming and Trimming properties will return the same value.

When overriding AmbientTrimming in a derived class, if the base implementation of AmbientTrimming is not returned the alternation of datarow styles will no longer function.
