Calling the ResetLeftElement method will set the LeftElement property to a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic) causing a new HeaderFooterElement to be created when the LeftElement property is accessed.
The IsLeftElementDefined property should be consulted before the LeftElement property is accessed to prevent a new instance of a HeaderFooterElement from being created in the case where none of the properties of the LeftElement have been explicitly set.
