DeleteUnzippedFiles Property

Xceed.Zip Assembly > Xceed.Zip.Sfx Namespace > XceedSfxPrefix Class : DeleteUnzippedFiles Property
Gets or sets a boolean value indicating if the extracted files should be deleted once all the external programs or executables run by the self-extracting zip file (as a result of specifying programs to run in the ExecuteAfter property) have terminated
Syntax
'Declaration

Public Property DeleteUnzippedFiles As Boolean
'Usage

Dim instance As XceedSfxPrefix
Dim value As Boolean

instance.DeleteUnzippedFiles = value

value = instance.DeleteUnzippedFiles
public bool DeleteUnzippedFiles {get; set;}

Property Value

true if the extracted files and any directories created as a result of the extraction should be deleted once all the external programs or executables run by the self-extracting zip file have terminated; false otherwise.
Remarks

When DeleteUnzippedFiles is true and nothing is specified in the DefaultDestinationFolder property, the self-extracting zip file will extract its files into a random folder in the system's temporary folder (the equivalent of putting <TempFolder>\<RandomFolder> in the DefaultDestinationFolder property).

This property is particularly useful when the self-extracting zip file is being used in order to extract and run an install or setup program. Once the setup program has finished copying all the files to the appropriate locations, and has terminated, setting the DeleteUnzippedFiles property to true allows you to ensure that the now unneeded setup files are erased from the system.

The self-extracting zip file's DialogMessages.DestinationFolder dialog is not displayed when DeleteUnzippedFiles is true.

This property is the equivalent of the SfxInstallMode property of the ActiveX version of Xceed Zip.
