You only need to distribute the XCEEDCRY.DLL file with your applications in order for the Xceed Encryption Library to work. You may not distribute any other of the library's files
It is highly recommended to place the XCEEDCRY.DLL file in the Windows System folder, with an application that does version checking, so that an already existing version of the file is not overwritten by an older version. Xceed Software will ensure that as long as the file keeps the XCEEDCRY.DLL name, it will always be backwards compatible with older versions. So applications compiled to work with Xceed Encryption Library v1.1 will work with a future v1.x DLL.
The XCEEDCRY.DLL file is fully self-contained, which means that target machines do not need any other files (such as Microsoft's CryptoAPI package or MFC40.DLL, MSVCRT40.DLL or ATL.DLL etc.) in order for the XCEEDCRY.DLL to register and work on the machine. The early releases of Windows 95 (up to OSR1) require that you install the DCOM update or Internet Explorer v4.0, so that you can use apartment threaded components.
Only registered users are licensed to deploy or distribute applications that use the Xceed Encryption Library.
The License method must be called to license the library for runtime use. This applies to both registered users as well as users of a time-limited free trial license.
